	Big Dan is busy on the farm year round! Much work goes into preparing the fields for the next bountiful harvest. Below are snapshots of just a few activities that take place at Big Dan's Farm. Early in the year, Big Dan trims the trees to shape them and encourage proper growth. Later, the branches are removed from the field and destroyed. Spring is planting season. The vegetable fields are cleared and prepared for planting. At Big Dan's, we often plant our vegetables on rows of plastic sheets to help contain weeds. Other fields require lots of cultivating to control the weeds. Look for more to come featuring Big Dan and the many activities around the farm throughout the year.
